As a Senior Network Engineer you will have the opportunity to be a critical thinker in the design and build of NetBrain’s lab environment, one of the company’s key strategic assets. Working with a variety of enterprise-grade hardware, the Network Engineer will play a vital role in building and expanding NetBrain’s lab environment by bringing in real-world customer challenges, use cases, and next-generation technologies to showcase the power of NetBrain’s technology across the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and expand our demo and instant trial lab environment by identifying, prioritizing, and building in new uses cases and technologies to help prospects understand the value of NetBrain 
  • Partner with our pre-sales engineering teams in building proof of concept (POC) scenarios for prospective customers
  • Communicate and evangelize the capabilities of NetBrain’s lab environments to marketing, pre-sales engineering, and prospects
  • Be at the forefront of next-generation technologies (e.g., software-defined networking, network function virtualization) and integrate these into the lab environments
  • Drive requirement discussion, analyze test requirements, build test lab configurations, execute, and document results

Qualifications

  • Strong Layer 2 & 3 Cisco switching platform knowledge (e.g. system architecture, switching and forwarding issues) and hands-on experience in Catalyst Switches C6500, C4000, C3500, C2900, and other Layer 2 devices 
  • Good knowledge on Layer 2 & 3 protocols (e.g., OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, STP, TCP, RSVP)
  • Familiarity with various vendors’ products (e.g., Palo alto, Checkpoint, Juniper, F5)
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Service provider and/or enterprise lab/production network experience
  • Consultative approach and “partner” mentality with both internal and external customers
  • Virtual environment setup experience (GNS3, UNetlab)
  • CCNP certificate or experience level is required
  • Persistent desire to uncover inventive solutions and technology
