As a Network Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the design and build of NetBrain’s lab environment, one of the company’s key strategic assets. Working with a variety of enterprise-grade hardware, the Network Engineer Intern will play a role in building and expanding NetBrain’s lab environment by bringing in real-world customer challenges, use cases, and next-generation technologies to showcase the power of NetBrain’s technology across the sales cycle.


  • Enhance and expand our demo and instant trial lab environment by building in new uses cases and technologies to help prospects understand the value of NetBrain 
  • Partner with our pre-sales engineering teams in building proof of concept (POC) scenarios for prospective customers
  • Be at the forefront of next-generation technologies (e.g., software-defined networking, network function virtualization) and integrate these into the lab environments


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
  • Understanding of Layer 2 & 3 protocols (e.g., OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, STP, TCP, RSVP)
  • Layer 2 & 3 Cisco switching platform knowledge (e.g. system architecture, switching and forwarding issues) and hands-on experience in Catalyst Switches C6500, C4000, C3500, C2900, and other Layer 2 devices 
  • Familiarity with various vendors’ products (e.g., Palo alto, Checkpoint, Juniper, F5)
  • CCNA certificate or experience level
  • Must be local to the Boston/Burlington, MA area
  • Commit 20 to 40 hours per week onsite
  • Fluent in Mandarin
